The South Jamaica Branch Library Building by Elemental Architecture

The 2-storey building with architectural floor space 1280 square meters, in the South Jamaica Branch Library in Queens, New York. Designed by Elemental Architecture, the integrated design of the library building is the first building designed and according to the New York City High Performance Building Guidelines and Building was completed in 1999 built. The inner qualities such as light, temperature, air quality, spatial richness and diversity are the result of the dynamic interaction between the building and the natural environment. The outer form is a direct translation of the program of building and wider environmental considerations. The library reduces the embodied energy and embodied pollution by using low-energy and recycling materials.
