Trendy Home In California Overlooking An Olive Orchard by Cooper Joseph Studio

The modern house was designed by Joseph Cooper’s studio in California’s Dry Creek Valley, near Sonoma. According to the architects, it is spread over three levels and the total area is 850 square feet. A brief description of the project developers, “on top situated in an olive grove, faces exposure to the north, the wind and the shade of existing forests in the south. The use of an existing open spaces in particular, with hard clay we have no trees to be removed. The aim was to energy-efficient, compact house, can sit in the customer in the shadow entertain friends with their own food and enjoy the beautiful views create farmland. The structure is on the steep slope with a series of retaining walls and cascading outdoor decks, each with an interior firmly connected. The circulation always leads to the view, while the windowing of the hot southern sun protection in favor of the soft Northern Lights. The main interior staircase skewers levels along the central concrete wall. “
