Box-Like Modern Trojan Horse – Casa Troyana by Jackson Clements Burrows

Casa Troyana is an unusual house, where two of the world – the front of the house in a renovated Edwardian design, while the rear part is designed as a box-likes structure of the green to the back yard. Designed by Jackson Clements Burrows, was the residence in Hawthorne, Melbourne, Australia. This is the home of a young couple with three children aged 10 years. The family was an extension of their growing family shelter and they chose a modern version of the old house.
The front part of the house contains a bedroom and a nursery, while the back was designed to collect all the beautiful places on the ground floor, so the private quarters upstairs. A swing and a thermal chimney ventilate the living spaces in summer and wooded shutters operated by temperature and light controls the amount that reaches the bedroom. The display features that remind us of the Trojan horse, the residence protect the privacy of residents while they monitor the environment.
